31 Days of Proverbs: Day 1

“But all who listen to me will lie in peace, untroubled by fear of harm.”

Proverbs 1:33 (NLT)

Imagine standing in the midst of a war zone. Fire is feet away from you, you can hear people screaming and crying, and you see others running frantically. Now imagine, that with all that is happening, you still have peace. That – peace in the midst of storms – is what true relationship with God provides. This type of relationship goes much further than Sundays and it extends to a place deep within you and provides a peace that transcends your understanding.

Trust that you are being held in the solid protection of God’s arms. That no matter what your life or your circumstances entail, you are covered by the One who created this entire world, and you have no reason to fear.

What are the fears you face today? What concerns you? Will you trust God to take care of it, and to take care of you?

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all He has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.”

Philippians 4:6-7 (NLT)
