Listening is just as important as praying. In order to receive confirmation and instruction, we must actually pause to hear what God is saying. How silly would it be if you were to call a friend, ask them a question, and then hang up the phone before they give you an answer? That's what we do when we end our prayers before waiting for God to speak.

When It All Falls Down
Multiple times this year, I've found myself in moments and situations when something I'd planned and worked so hard for, just didn't quite work out. It seemed like no matter how hard I prayed or prepared, God allowed doors to remain closed. I embraced the simple truth that no matter how hard you knock, God will not open a door you are not supposed to walk through.
