We're 2 weeks into the new year and it's safe to say everything is off to a great start. 2018 was filled with new adventures and life-changing revelations. But I'm excited for what God has planned in 2019. I believe the most important lesson I learned last year was to fully embrace the calling God … Continue reading Dear 2019
In my family, whenever we gather for a celebration, there’s always cake involved. And as an unofficial family tradition, I receive one of the four corner pieces of said cake (corner pieces have the most icing!). By the time I get to the dessert table, I know there’s a single corner piece off to the side, just for me. And just as I look forward to receiving what I consider to be the best part of a cake, God also desires our best.
Happy New Year lovelies! I hope you all had an amazing holiday season and are looking forward to this new year. I'm definitely in need of a fresh start. And since change can sometimes be good... I've decided to rename my blog. It's something I've been wanting to do for quite a while now. And 2019 is the perfect time!

Before reading this definition, I'd never thought of myself as having "powers." I then remembered 2 Timothy 1:7. God has not given us a spirit of … Continue reading What’s Your Superpower?
Almost two months ago, I sat parked in the back of a crowded lot, chatting on the phone with my friend. I was venting to her about how my schedule was so packed, I was struggling to arrange a 15-minute meeting. At that moment, I was leaving one commitment and heading to another. During that … Continue reading Swamped: Learning to Say No
"Love prospers when a fault is forgiven, but dwelling on it separates close friends." Proverbs 17:9 NLT This weekend, I attended my church's Freedom Conference. Throughout the past 13 weeks, I've attended a Freedom small group. It's designed to help you embrace the truth of God's word, remove every obstacle to intimacy with God, and … Continue reading Forgiveness = Freedom
2018 has been a beautiful journey. In the past 11 months, I've experienced moments I'll never forget, laughter that produced tears, the sting of losing a loved one, and the joy of building new relationships. Each moment had its purpose. And now, as with any amazing vacation, you must eventually unpack your bags. There will … Continue reading Unpacking 2018
During my junior year of college, one of my professors asked, "What is your dream career?" The 3 things I wrote down were completely different from the degree I was pursuing. I had to ask myself, "Why am I here? Why not pursue the things that genuinely interest me? The things I feel called to?" I … Continue reading Be Inspired: Pursuing Your Interests
