[Face palm] This season of my life has been extremely busy with taking on new responsibilities at work, leading a small group, taking classes, preparing for my next book release, and the list goes on. Instead of publishing material that is … Continue reading Taking Up Space

Summer is my favorite season. The sunny weather, the freedom, the BBQ's, and the trips make it worthwhile. One summer I traveled 9 hours to visit other family members. It is still one of the most memorable trips I've ever had. On one particular day, my cousins and I were riding bikes through the neighborhood. … Continue reading Blemished & Beautiful
Listening is just as important as praying. In order to receive confirmation and instruction, we must actually pause to hear what God is saying. How silly would it be if you were to call a friend, ask them a question, and then hang up the phone before they give you an answer? In my family, whenever we gather for a celebration, there’s always cake involved. And as an unofficial family tradition, I receive one of the four corner pieces of said cake (corner pieces have the most icing!). By the time I get to the dessert table, I know there’s a single corner piece off to the side, just for me. And just as I look forward to receiving what I consider to be the best part of a cake, God also desires our best.
Happy New Year lovelies! I hope you all had an amazing holiday season and are looking forward to this new year. I'm definitely in need of a fresh start. And since change can sometimes be good... I've decided to rename my blog. It's something I've been wanting to do for quite a while now. And 2019 is the perfect time!

Galatians 6:4 NLT You were not created to be measured against anyone else. You are a one-of-a-kind being. Your characteristics, your gifts and the story of … Continue reading Comparison Kills
