Hey family! I hope your new year has been off to a wonderful start! I'm so grateful to be here and that my loved ones are healthy and safe as well. If your 2024 was anything like mine, it was filled with so many blessings and challenges. Words can't express how appreciative I am that … Continue reading Expect Great Things in 2025! π
The Sun Will Shine Again
In December I asked God to restore my life back to what it was supposed to be before I moved out of state. It's been a few months since I've moved back to my hometown and I can wholeheartedly say that God has answered that prayer. I've never seen God move in this way before. In the midst of hardship and challenges, I still feel so special. God has a way of making you feel seen, even as life's chaos spins recklessly around you.
When Life Throws A Curveball
It was one of those days that started off normal. I went about my routine as I typically would. A YouTube video played in the background while I finished a task I was working on. And then I got the call. One of those calls that stops you in your tracks and you forget about every minuscule thing that doesn't really matter. My heart sank as I fought back the tears.
3AM Prayer Challenge Update + Life Update
One day following my 3AM prayer challenge I got discouraged because I still had not heard back from my desired company about the career opportunity I had applied for several weeks prior. I felt a little humiliated because I had announced it here on my blog for the world to see and nothing had happened. … Continue reading 3AM Prayer Challenge Update + Life Update
3AM Prayer Challenge
I made a post earlier this year about how I believed God had me in a season of transition. Little did I know, that was just the beginning. This entire year has been a transition and its been uncomfortable. I like being in control and knowing whatβs going to happen next. And really, the desire for control is rooted in fear. But making the decision to fully trust God also means releasing that fear. Still, that doesnβt make it easy.
How to Spiritually Cover and Protect Your Home
My home is my safe space. I have intentionally created an atmosphere that is welcoming and peaceful. Many times I've had a long day or felt overwhelmed in a crowded room but when I got home, I instantly felt better. Now, disclaimer - I am by no means an expert in this area. But it's important to me that I cover and protect my space. So today, I would like to share my process with you and help you do the same.
Honoring God’s Presence
I'm the type of person who gets easily distracted. As I create this post, I have 9 other tabs open on my computer. Sometimes in church or while listening to a sermon, I may get a text or an email and I want to check it right away. I may remember something I need to add to my grocery list or I need to message an old classmate "Happy Birthday" although we haven't actually spoken in years. I was recently presented with the question, "What is your etiquette when you come into the presence of God? Is your phone in your hand?" Oop. This question really made me think about where my attention is and how sincere I am when I'm supposed to be spending time with God. I had to start leaving my phone in another room.
Faith in the Middle
Change can be scary but it's necessary. You can't be the woman God has called you to be in this season, if you're trying to hold on to the old version of you. The comfort you crave can actually stunt your growth. If you're in a season of transition, this message is for YOU!
Have Faith in What You Planted
If you're in a season where you've been praying and working on something, and it hasn't happened yet, this message is for you. I'm urging you to live in expectation. No matter how long it's been, keep going. The healing, the career, the home, the marriage, the children, the growth, the business, the degree, the _____ [fill in the blank], is available to you.
