Hey family!

I hope your new year has been off to a wonderful start! I’m so grateful to be here and that my loved ones are healthy and safe as well. If your 2024 was anything like mine, it was filled with so many blessings and challenges. Words can’t express how appreciative I am that God answered prayer after prayer after prayer.

In December 2023, my mom was diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer. This happened just weeks after losing someone very special to lung cancer. I had just moved to another state and I was trying to get closer to home to be with my family. By May of 2024, God had completely healed my mom (a major testimony)! I was also able to get my house back. I spent 6 months of 2024 without a job and emptied all of my savings, but God provided every single need. He blessed me with a new job, an opportunity I’d been praying for. And I got engaged to the man of my prayers!! 💍

God really showed me His love, His mercy and His favor last year. If I can be honest though, it took every ounce of faith and hope I had to believe everything would work out and my family and I would be okay. My faith really took a hit in 2024. That left me feeling depleted and not as excited about the new year as I normally would be. There were moments I felt guarded and questioned what might happen next. Fear was having its way in my heart.

“See, I am doing a new thing!
    Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
    and streams in the wasteland.”

Isaiah 43:19 NIV

I read this verse the last week of December and everything shifted for me. I had read this verse so many times but for some reason, it was really on my heart that day and it resonated with my spirit. I had a new revelation – as though I was seeing it for the first time. Even though 2024 was challenging, I found peace in knowing that 2025 is a brand new year. 2024 isn’t repeating itself; the calendar change is a reminder that God’s plans for us are constantly unfolding, and He has already orchestrated blessings and provisions in ways that will surprise us.

I’m encouraging myself (and you!) to trust God more deeply, expect good things, and believe (truly believe) that God is working on our behalf. He has already gone before us and He will continue to lead us with love, grace and abundant provision. Think about all the prayers God answered in 2024. Every opened door, every time you laughed, every time you made it home safely. Know that the same God that carried you through last year has already gone before you in 2025.
