Peter denied the one he was so eager to protect. And Jesus was rejected by someone He was about to suffer and die for. Someone He loved. It reminds me of the times Jesus has had to watch me make poor decisions after He has already warned me. But even when we waver, God's love for us does not.
Is it really as extreme as you're making it? Because it's only as extreme as you make it.
Regret has a way of showing up uninvited. Oftentimes, we think if this particular thing wouldn't have happened, or if I would have just said it this way instead... everything would be different.
