Summer is my favorite season. The sunny weather, the freedom, the BBQ's, and the trips make it worthwhile. One summer I traveled 9 hours to visit other family members. It is still one of the most memorable trips I've ever had. On one particular day, my cousins and I were riding bikes through the neighborhood. … Continue reading Blemished & Beautiful
Listening is just as important as praying. In order to receive confirmation and instruction, we must actually pause to hear what God is saying. How silly would it be if you were to call a friend, ask them a question, and then hang up the phone before they give you an answer? That's what we do when we end our prayers before waiting for God to speak.
At the beginning of last year, I boldly declared that 2018 was my "year of faith." I could sense God would be making adjustments and steering me in a different direction. Sure enough, God began to withdraw me from my comfort zones and make clear His plans for my life. One of those plans was … Continue reading Leaving my 9-5 and How God Provided
In my family, whenever we gather for a celebration, there’s always cake involved. And as an unofficial family tradition, I receive one of the four corner pieces of said cake (corner pieces have the most icing!). By the time I get to the dessert table, I know there’s a single corner piece off to the side, just for me. It's designed to help you embrace the truth of God's word, remove every obstacle to intimacy with God, and … Continue reading Forgiveness = Freedom
The year is coming to an end and I have to ask, have you or will you reach all of your 2018 goals? If so, congratulations!! 🙂 If not, you are not alone! When I looked at my 2018 goals list a few weeks ago, I realized I'd accomplished 8 of 11. I also noticed … Continue reading Conquering Goals in 2019
Don't worry, I'm not here to share 24 things I've learned in the past year 🙂 However, I am appreciative of God's blessings and this year I wanted to celebrate in a different way.
You are worthy. And your worth does not decrease when other people are not able to see it. Your value does not lessen when you feel insecure, because your value is found in Christ. Your dreams do not become impossible the moment someone shoots them down, unless you decide you will no longer pursue them. Because faith without works is dead and if you're going to believe in God you must also believe you were created in His image and the desires He has given you will come to pass. That has to become your truth.
"I want you to show love, not offer sacrifices. I want you to know me more than I want burnt offerings." Hosea 6:6 (NLT)
