Happy New Year lovelies! I hope you all had an amazing holiday season and are looking forward to this new year. I'm definitely in need of a fresh start. And since change can sometimes be good... I've decided to rename my blog. It's something I've been wanting to do for quite a while now. And 2019 is the perfect time!
"Pay careful attention to your own work, for then you will get the satisfaction of a job well done, and you won’t need to compare yourself to anyone else." Galatians 6:4 NLT You were not created to be measured against anyone else. You are a one-of-a-kind being. Your characteristics, your gifts and the story of … Continue reading Comparison Kills
Overall, 2018 has been a really great year! I am so thankful for every part of it. I made a lot of great memories, tried new things and grew in wisdom. I've decided to highlight 5 things that I learned in 2018: Face Fears Head-On. The things we're afraid of seem so gigantic and powerful. … Continue reading 5 Things I Learned in 2018
I can't believe it's already August! This year has flown by so fast... with the exception of January, which felt like 3 months. And it feels like summer only lasted 20 minutes. However, I'm excited about what the month of August holds, including my blog tour! Yes, I'm on tour.
Don't worry, I'm not here to share 24 things I've learned in the past year 🙂 However, I am appreciative of God's blessings and this year I wanted to celebrate in a different way.
How amazing is it that before you were created, before you ever knew who you were, God made a blueprint for your life? He had ideas and plans to carry out and He knew you would be the perfect fit. It is such a relief to know that you aren't here by accident. There is a reason for your existence.
You are worthy. And your worth does not decrease when other people are not able to see it. Your value does not lessen when you feel insecure, because your value is found in Christ. Your dreams do not become impossible the moment someone shoots them down, unless you decide you will no longer pursue them. Because faith without works is dead and if you're going to believe in God you must also believe you were created in His image and the desires He has given you will come to pass. That has to become your truth.
I like soulful music, good food & spending time with those I love. They usually like spending time with me as well. I'm an introvert and most people that meet me think I'm super quiet but I'm not. After about 3 years I usually open up (Totally kidding. I won't open up). I enjoy traveling and exploring new places. I can't wait to one day visit Kenya and ride through the safari on elephant-back - or mosquitos, whichever is bigger! I also enjoy writing, painting, cooking and long walks from my car to Chipotle.
Have you ever been afraid to try again because your past attempts didn't work out well? Are you trusting more in your track record than God, who has the power to move on your behalf?
Will you pursue purpose as long as its comfortable? Or will you follow the plans God has for you, no matter the cost? How far are you willing to go?
